About Us

Our story

Nelson Chiropractic and Pilates Center has been helping people become more active and get back to doing the things they love for over 20 years! But it all started in second quarter CPR class at Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia where we met. We went through school together, running the Motion Palpation Club as President and Vice President, both with a love of teaching and a thirst for deeper understanding of how the body works. Upon graduating in 1997, we continued to learn through post graduate programs in Rehabilitation, Sports Injuries, and Soft Tissue Techniques.

By 1998, we excitedly opened our doors in Berlin, NJ to be close to family! After a few years, we quickly outgrew our space and moved to our current location in Atco and opened our Pilates Studio. In addition to building our practice, our family was also growing! 3 kids later, we opened our second chiropractic office location in Cherry Hill in 2013. Our passion for teaching continues to push us to new experiences. From teaching internationally to remote telemed rehab sessions, over 20 years later, we still love helping people achieve their goals.

Our studio

Our beautifully renovated studio includes five complete sets of Balanced Body equipment, a suite of traditional Pilates equipment and TRX for private lessons and rehab, and all kinds of fun props to challenge your body in ways you have never imagined possible! We offer a complete program in Pilates training through private, duet and small group classes focusing on flexibility, strength, core control and mind-body awareness while challenging agility, balance and coordination to help you become a more efficient mover in all of life’s activities.

Our mission

At Nelson Chiropractic & Pilates, we strive to teach patients that pain is not their story, and that the painful spot is rarely the cause. We believe that to age well, you must learn how to use your body well, and that it is important to refocus your awareness because awareness creates choice.

Our work is to educate people to better understand their bodies and themselves, and to help bring awareness to individual skills and challenges. We strive to build confidence in our patients, help them discover things they might not already know about themselves and to build resilience.
